Channel Connection Layouts
The following indicate channel connection layouts for Personal Daq/54, /55, and /56. Connection layouts
for expansion modules (PDQ1 and PDQ2) follow shortly.
Personal Daq/54 provides no functionality
for expansion modules

Analog In
Single-ended
inputs are used with analog signals that share the same common low, such as
multiple batteries which have their negative sides connected in common.
Differential
inputs are required
when signals do not share the same common low, such as in the typical use of thermocouples. Note that
the analog low common references are -10 to +20 Volts. Analog low commons (COM) are located on the
same terminal blocks as are the analog channel connections, and should not be confused with the frequency
lows (Lo) discussed later.
