5.12 Remote Access
It is possible to monitor the dryer with Siemens LOGO 0BA8 controller through the “LOGO!
Web server” application via web browser (Internet Explorer, Chrome, Mozilla) or “LOGO! App”
mobile application. The mobile application can be downloaded from Siemens webpage and
most mobile app stores.
It is recommended that the dryer is connected to a work network with a firewall to prevent
unauthorized access. The Ethernet/UTP port can be accessed from the inside of the controller
housing.
Before using remote access you will need to:
Enable the web access through Siemens
LOGO!Soft Comfort V8
software. The procedure is as
follows (source Siemens manual for LOGO! App V3.0, “logo_app_en.pdf”):
1.
In LOGO!Soft Comfort V8 you navigate to “Tools > Transfer > Access Control”.
2.
Select the “Interface” for your connection to LOGO! and enter the IP address of your
LOGO!. Click “Test” in order to check whether the connection is successful. If the
connection is successful click “OK” in order to load the program into the device.
3.
Navigate to menu item “Access control settings” via the “Online settings” tab in “File
> Properties”.
4.
Activate the “Allow LOGO! App access” checkbox.
5.
Activate the “Enable password protection for LOGO! App access” checkmark.
6.
Assign a password. This password must be identical with the respective password for
the LOGO! connection in your LOGO! App! (Device view of the respective LOGO!
connection in the LOGO! App)
7.
Click on “Apply” to accept the password.
