Telephoto/Wide-angle shooting is possible at up to 3x magnification (optical
zoom limit). By combining the digital zoom with the 3x optical zoom, zoom
magnification up to 7.5x (equivalent to 35 mm–260 mm on a 35 mm camera)
is possible.

Since focus is locked during movie recording, the subject may go out of
focus if the distance to the subject varies considerably. To avoid this, set
to OFF (P. 101) to automatically maintain correct focus.

In the
mode, the factory default setting of
is ON. Zoom position is
locked at the maximum wide-angle and you can only use the digital zoom. If
is set to OFF, you can only use the optical zoom.
