6. HOW TO CORRECT ON PAPER

Reverse Index Key
Your new typewriter has a 300-character
automatic correction memory. The machine
remembers up to 300 characters typed in the
Last three Lines (single spacing) , thereby
allowing you to correct any or all of them.
6.1 Correcting Any or All of the Last 300
Characters in the Last Three Lines
1) Press the Correction Key all the way down and
hold it The typewriter will automatically keep
erasing cha racters in the correction memory
range until the Cor rection Key is released.
2) Type the correct characters.
6.2 Correcting the Last Character Typed
1) Touch the Correction Key once (do NOT hold
down). The carrier will backspace once and
erase the incorrect character.
2) Type the correct cha racter.
6.3 Correcting Previous Character(s) within
the Correction Memory
1 ) M ove the Print Point indicator by using the
Reverse Index Key, the S pace Bar and/or the
Back Space Key to align it with the character
to be corrected.
2) Touch the Cor rection Key (do NOT hold down)
to erase the incorrect character. If you want to
erase more than one character, hold the
Correction Key down. The machine will
automatically keep erasing characters in the
range stated above until the Correction Key is
released.
3) Type the correct character(s)
