User authentication
Apply printer usage restrictions by mode
Usage restrictions can be applied to copy, submission, scan, and print modes.
For example, it is possible to restrict print and copy modes, which use consumables
such as paper and toner, to authorized users only, while allowing all users to use
submission and scan modes, which do not use consumables.
Set usage restrictions for each user
The use of copy, submission, scan, and print modes can be set for each user.
For example, design department users are allowed to all modes while restricting
accounting department users to copy and print modes.
Grasp of the usage status of each user
With user authentication, a job log is used to see who used what, when, and how
much, which allows to investigate inappropriate printer usage outside of work
hours, etc.
In addition, by using the included software (job log management tool*), you can
calculate the usage amount of each user.

Print from a specified computer without authentication
When user authentication is used in print mode, printing is possible only with the
four methods below.
- Printing from the printer driver
- Printing from a MAC driver
- Printing from an HDI driver
- Printing from TerioStation2
In environments other than those mentioned above where authentication print is
possible, all print data is generally deleted in the Printer.
However, if a host environment other than our software is present, like in personal
computers or work stations, the Printer can be set to print the data sent from a
specified computer without authentication.
