Managing Address Books
Managing Address Books
The Fiery E-mail Service feature allows an administrator to import a list of e-mail
addresses to the Océ 760C. This is done by sending messages to the Océ 760C in
e-mail form.
N
OTE
:
E-mail messages can be sent only from an administrator account.
The Océ 760C supports the following address books:
•
User
—a generic address book used primarily for scanning to e-mail. This address
book is used for outgoing e-mail only.
•
Admin
—includes users with administrative access. Administrative access allows you
to modify the address book, get the current address book from the Océ 760C, and
cancel or get status on any print job.
•
PrintBook
—includes users who have print access. Only users whose e-mail addresses
are in the print address book are authorized to submit jobs via e-mail to the
Océ 760C. Unauthorized users receive an e-mail reply that their job was not
accepted by the Océ 760C for printing.
The Fiery E-mail Service also allows the administrator to overwrite the address book,
append new addresses, remove addresses, and retrieve current addresses on the
Océ 760C.
When a print job is submitted via e-mail, the Océ 760C first checks the PrintBook
address book. If the user’s e-mail address does not match any entry in the PrintBook
address book, the job will not print. Instead, the user will receive an e-mail stating that
the print job was not accepted.
