Before use
Before using OBH Nordica Heart Rate Monitor 1710 or 1715 Active, we recommend that
you thoroughly read this manual and save it for future use.
This Heart Rate Monitor is intended for private use only. It should only be used as a training
instrument and therefore cannot be considered as a medical device or replace a visit to the
physician.
For your own safety, please use the Heart Rate Monitor 1710 or 1715 Active under a
physician’s direction if you have one of the following conditions:
1. No exercise for an extended period of time
2. Obesity
3. Heart disease
4. Circulatory illness
5. Breathing problems
Note that if you have irregular heartbeats, it will be difficult for the Heart Rate Monitor to get
a reading.
When exercising, it is of great importance to listen to the signals your body is sending you.
We recommend that you either end the exercise or slow down when you are feeling pain or
exhaustion.
The Heart Rate Monitor is meant for adults, meaning people over the age of 18. Small
children, children and people who cannot express their own consent should therefore not
use this product.
Water resistance: this watch is suitable for occasional bathing and swimming but is neither
suited for diving nor for frequent use in water.
Never press the buttons of the watch under water.
Never take heart rate measurement in water.

How to set the time
• Hold the [M] button for 2 seconds until ‘Second’ starts flashing.
• As shown in the diagram, press the [M] button to select between the flashing settings
(‘Second’, ‘Minute’, ‘Hour’, ‘Year’, ‘Month’ ‘Day’, ’Date format’, ‘12/24 Hr’, ‘Beep ON/OFF’).
