9. SUPPLEMENTARY MESSAGES

9.1. MALFUNCTION MESSAGES

SYSTEM RESET!

The MC 2000 has detected a serious malfunction of its electronic components. Contact an
OBERHEIM authorized service centre as soon as possible.

UART (DA 0 A 4): CHIP FAILURE!

The control software has noted that a UART chip does not respond to the  system.  Since
the  UART  chips  control  the  serial  ports  of  the  MC  2000  (i.e.  the  MIDI  OUT  ports),  after
display  of  this  message  some  of  them  might  not  work  properly.  Contact  an  authorized
service centre for a solution to the problem.

KEYBOARD FAILED!

During the self-testing procedure (which takes place whenever the instrument is switched
on)  the  keyboard  has  not  responded  to  the  control  messages.  Contact  an  authorized
service centre for a solution to the problem.
