Replacement is the reverse of removal. Ensure that the end of the electrode le
ad covered with black sleeving is att ached to the spark generator and that the
lead iscorrectly replaced in the split grommet.
SPARK GENERATOR
a) Switch off the external electricity supply by disconnecting the plug at the so
cket or switching off external isolating switch.
b) Remove boiler case as described in section
1 PREPARING THE BOILER F
OR SERVICING

c Pull off electrode lead from spark generator, remove rear locking nut securin
g spark generator to its mounting bracket and withdraw spark generator.
d) Replacement is the reverse of removal.

BOILER THERMOSTAT
a) Switch off the external electricity supply by disconnecting the plug at the so
cket or switching off external isolating switch.

c) Pull off the thermostat knob and remove the two screws securing the contro
l panel cover and remove cover. Remove the two screws securing the thermo
stat to the controlpanel.
d) Disconnect the electrical connections as follows:-
White from terminal No.3, Brown from 6, Black from 7, Brown from 8, Red fro
m 9.
e) Remove the split pin retaining the thermostat bulb and withdraw bulb from it
s pocket. Remove capillary from its routing clips. See

Replacement is the reverse of removal. The bulb of the new thermostat shoul
d be coated in heat conducting paste.
