• Protect electronic appliances from moisture
and temperatures of above 40 °C.
• Before every use, ensure that your
NUK Babyphone is working properly.
• Faulty appliances must not be used.
• Should repairs be required, they must be
carried out by the
manufacturer
, other-
wise guarantee claims become void.
• Clean the appliances with a dry or slightly
dampened cloth.
• The appliances must under no circum-
stances come into contact with liquids.
Make sure that they are not dropped into
water or that liquids may enter the
housing.
• Keep batteries away from children.
• No attempt should be made to reactivate
used batteries with heat, by recharging or
other methods.
Batteries must not be disposed of with
household waste!
• Every user is required by law to hand in all
used batteries and accumulators whether
they contain harmful substances or not, at
a district / municipal collection point or
retailer for environmentally safe disposal.
Hand in batteries and accumulators only in
a discharged state! When the appliance is
no longer usable, ask the appropriate
waste disposal authority about required
disposal measures.
3. Connection and Mains Supply
Warning!
Before you insert batteries or con-
nect to the power supply, switch the On/Off
switch
to “Off”.
When you are operating the receiver with the
mains adaptor
, battery operation is auto-
matically switched off. You therefore need not
remove the battery when running on mains
electricity.
Clarity and the range of the receiver are
improved when the NUK Babyphone is running
on mains electricity via the mains adaptor
Therefore use the mains adaptor instead of
battery operation when using the
NUK Babyphone for a longer period in enclosed
rooms.
Battery Operation
Battery operation facilitates mobile use and is
therefore especially useful when travelling or for
use in several rooms at home.
In order to insert or change batteries:
1. Remove the side part
screw
2. Slide the battery compartment cover
downwards.
3. Insert a
new
9 V battery Type 6LR61. Make
sure polarity (+/- pole) is correct.
