Feature Preview of FOMA N2502 HIGH-SPEED
FOMA is the name of DoCoMo’s service based on the W-CDMA system approved as one of the global
standards for third-generation mobile telecommunication systems (IMT-2000).

Covering FOMA HIGH-SPEED area
FOMA-packet-communication-compatible access points such as DoCoMo Internet connection service
“mopera U” enables data communication at up to 7.2 Mbps downlink and up to 384 kbps uplink (best-
effort).
* 7.2 Mbps max. or 384 kbps max. does not represent the actual communication speed, but the
maximum value on the technical standards.
* The actual communication speed varies depending on the communication environment or
network congestion.
a The communication speed turns to 384 kbps max. for both uplink and downlink when you are out of
the FOMA HIGH-SPEED service area, or you connect to the access point including mopera to
which the high-speed is not supported.

DoCoMo Internet connection service “mopera U” (charged) is available. For details, visit the

* Transmission data volume is expected to increase when performing packet communication in the
FOMA HIGH-SPEED area. Be careful not to use a high amount of expenses for packet
communication.

Replacing the FOMA card enables use of several FOMA terminals to your purpose.

Basic monthly fee and communication fee is charged on the FOMA card subscription number
provided to the FOMA terminal.

Using “DoCoMo Videophone Software” enables communication with videophone via PC.
