NEX Asterisk Features
• In trunks Tab, Press “+ New SIP/IAX Trunk”
1. Select SIP to use Session Initiation Protocol
2. Select Context Naming
Note: You may skip this step
3. Name the SIP trunk
4. IP address or URL for your VOIP provider’s server
5. If there’s authentication required you need to input Username
Note: If not required you may leave it blank
6. If there’s authentication required you need to input Password
Note: If not required you may leave it blank
7. Save then Apply Changes
The built-in IP PBX can be managed via the device or thru any browser
in the network.
Once configured, the device can be utilized as a VOIP endpoint to call
other VOIP devices on the network. The following are its features:
To access the built-in IP PBX, point the browser to the following address
(xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx represents the device IPv4 address):
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8088/static/config/index.html
Trunks
To Create a New SIP Trunk
Trunks are outbound lines used to allow the system to make calls to
the real world. Trunks can be VoIP lines or traditional telephony lines.
