Control and Monitoring
An integral part of the NexStor 4700F Series RAID Storage System is its control
and monitor capabilities.
The SES support provides monitoring data for the enclosure environmental
conditions such as enclosure temperature, cooling fans, power supplies, and FC
loop status. This information is reported to the monitoring system to provide LED
and audible alarm notifications, and also sent to external software, such as
StorView Storage Management software. Refer to “VT-100 Interface Enclosure
Monitoring” on page 48 for complete details.
Front Bezel LEDs and Reset Button Identification
Status Indicator LEDs
The Status Indicator LEDs comprise the Power-On LED, Channel Status LED,
Power Supply Status LED, and Fan Status LED. These series of LEDs are grouped
on the right side of the front bezel directly above the Alarm Reset button. The
following is a description of each of these LEDs. Refer to “Managing and
Monitoring” on page 43 for details on each of the LEDs.
