5.11. Hard drive configuration
To manage hard drive in NVRs select STORAGE icon in SYSTEM menu.
In the window that appears, there is information about the hard drives. The first column describes
number of disk. “*”
- mark describes currently used disk.
TYPE - indicates the drive mode settings
TOTAL SPACE - hard drive total capacity
FREE - available free space on hard drives
STATUS - displays the status of the disk
HEALTH CONDITION -
information about the condition of the hard disk
5.11.1. Formatting hard drive
After installing the hard disk recorder automatically formats it during boot time, all data on the disk
will be erased.
CAUTION : During formatting all data on drive will be erased.
If you need to reformat the hard drive, click on the number you want to format the disk and then click
FORMAT. After confirming the recorder starts formatting button.
5.11.2. Hard drive mode settings
To set hard drive mode click on hard drive number and then press SET button.
There are checkboxes on the top of the menu :
READ/WRITE - default mode allowing writing and reading records.
READ ONLY - sets hard drive into read-only mode
REDUNDANT - in this mode HDD records only from channels set in redundant mode. To read data
from the disk set in redundancy mode set HDD to read-only mode.
