12. Photocell cleaning instructions
12.1.
Inspection of photocell operation
If the instrument does not operate according to its specification, one can check the
intensity of the infrared photocell system as follows:
a)
Insert a clean test tube with clear water or solvent into the instrument.
b)
Switch on the instrument.
c)
Depress "CAL" to enter the external (global) calibration levels. "CAL-P1" will
be
shown in the display and EC at the temperature indicator.
d)
Depress "FF" in order to check the intensity of the photocell. The value
displayed
on the speed indicator must be over 300 units in order to comply
with the
specification of the instrument.
If this value is less than 300 units, the instrument must be can be cleaned
according to the next chapter.
