To start the self-test, follow the steps in

Performing the Remote Carrier Interface card self-test

Log in on the maintenance terminal as described in
system maintenance programs” (page 154)

At the > prompt, type
LD 32
and press the Enter key to access
the Network and IPE Diagnostic Program.

Type
DSXP x
and press the Enter key to disable the Remote
Carrier Interface card, where
x
is the number of the Remote
Carrier Interface card to be disabled.

Type
XPCT x
and press the Enter key to start the self-test,
where
x
is the Remote Carrier Interface card specified for
self-test.
If the response is
TEST PASSED
the Remote Carrier Interface card passed the self-test
and is functional but must be enabled to turn off the red
LED and to start processing calls.
Type
ENXP x (v)
and press the Enter key to enable
the card and the associated IPE cards, where
x
is the
Remote Carrier Interface card number and (v) is the
optional download software version v.
If the Remote Carrier Interface card passed the self-test,
but the problem persists, the carrier link or other cards
that interface with the Remote Carrier Interface card may
be faulty. To verify the integrity of the peripheral bus and
the Remote Carrier Interface card, go to
“Performing the Remote Carrier Interface card loopback
test” (page 173)
