WARNING:
To prevent personal injury, do not open the bleed valve more
than two or three turns.
15. Bleed the pump.
S
For automatic changeover units:
a. Open the bleed valve (4) no more than two turns to bleed remaining
air.
b. Adjust the air motor regulator (2) to increase pressure until the pump
begins to operate.
c. Press the
Purge
push button to cycle the pump.
d. Close the bleed valve (4).
e. Make sure that the hose and applicator are secured and that the
applicator is not pointing at any personnel in the area.

For automatic shutdown units:
a. Open the bleed valve (4) no more than two turns to bleed the
remaining.
b. Adjust the air motor regulator (2) to increase pressure until the pump
begins to operate.
c. When material continuously flows from the bleed valve, press the
Ram Up
push button to stop the pump.
d. Close the bleed valve (4).
16. Trigger the applicator(s) to bleed off air in the lines.
17. Start the pump:

For automatic changeover units:
Adjust the air motor regulator (2)
to increase pressure until the pump begins to operate. Operate the
pump until the applicator dispenses material that flows smoothly,
continuously, and without air bubbles.
S
For automatic shutdown units:
a. Press the
Ram Down
push buttons at the same time to restart the
pump.
b. Operate the pump until the applicator dispenses material that flows
smoothly, continuously, and without air bubbles.
c. Press the
Ram Up
push button to stop the pump.
