5.4.2 Switching off the device
With mains operation:

By briefly pressing the
Standby
button you can switch the device to standby mode.
[Standby]
appears briefly on the display. The date and time are shown on the display. The
display brightness in standby mode can be adjusted by following the instructions in
Section
9.2
.
With battery operation:
>
In battery mode, the unit is always switched off by pressing the
Standby
button.
[Power
off]
appears briefly in the display. In this case, there is no date and time display.
Standby mode and the alarm function are not available in battery operation mode.
5.4 General device functionality
5.4.1 Switching on the device

To ensure good DAB+/FM reception, please extend the antenna fully. To do so, please refer
to Section 5.3.2.

First prepare the Transita 30 for operation as described in Sections 5.3.1 and 5.3.4.
>
Push the
Standby
button (

) on the top of the device to switch the Transita 30 on.
After switching on for the first time, you must first specify the
[Language]
. Use the
Tune/
Select
knob to select one of the available languages and confirm the selection by pressing
the
Tune/Select
knob. The device then automatically performs a complete scan in DAB
mode. While scanning, the display information shows the progress as well as the number of
digital radio stations detected. After completing the station scan, the first DAB+ channel is
played.
