The water dispenser works as follows.
Pressing a small container against the spring
loaded paddle drives in the plunger, which
closes the switch.
The switch sends power to the water valve
solenoid coil. The electromagnetic force
created by the coil opens the water valve,
allowing water flow into the reservoir.
Water flows from top of the reservoir to the
spigot. The water flowing out of the spigot is
replaced by water flowing into the reservoir as
illustrated in Figure 11-4
