SSH Client
You can access the IP71 with Secure Shell (SSH). This method uses a secure
(3DES) connection and allows you to manage the IP71 from multiple
computers on a local network or from a computer on the WAN (from a remote
location on the Internet). The SSH client authentication can be based on a
username and password, or a public key.
To access the IP71 with SSH client requires that the computer running the
SSH client has an active network connection to the IP71. This connection
must use the same IP address range as the IP71 on the local network or the
routing setup to reach the IP71. For more information, refer
SNMP Manager
You can view and configure the IP71through an SNMP manager. This is not a
secure method of configuration and is disabled by default. To use an SNMP
manager, Nokia recommends that you first configure the IP71 by one of the
previously explained methods.
Create a VPN tunnel and manage the IP71 with the SNMP manager through
the VPN tunnel. Security concerns require that the system running the SNMP
manager have an active network connection to the IP71. This connection must
use the same IP address range as the IP71 on the local network or the routing
setup to reach the IP71. An IP71 MIB is included on the CD. For more
information, refer

Nokia Horizon Manager
You can also access the IP71 to monitor and perform firmware upgrades, and
export and import the IP71 device configuration files using NHM. For more
information, refer
