4. Slide the chassis tray assembly forward, pressing the release tab on the right side of the
assembly, and completely remove the chassis to expose the motherboard components.
5. Place the chassis tray assembly on a table top.
6. Locate the battery on the motherboard.
The battery is in a black battery holder secured with a battery retaining pin.
7. Remove the old battery. Use a small nonconductive device, such as a plastic probe, to slide
the battery out of the battery holder through the cutout in the holder. To properly dispose of
the battery, see
8. With the positive side facing up, slide the new battery through the cutout in the battery
holder.
