CHAIN MAINTENANCE

The chain is responsible for the movement of the 

PTO axis to the endless screw. In order to prolong 

its useful life, it is indispensable to keep it properly 

adjusted and lubricated. It is recommended a daily 

check-up  and  also  the  control  of  the  clearance 

through the tensioner. Do as indicated below:

1. 

Turn off the tractor engine and take the ignition 

key off the panel. Wait until all moving parts are 

stationary.

2. 

Remove the four fixing bolts (A) from the cover 

(A).

3. 

Remove the cover (A) from the machine.

4. 

Loosen the two bolts (C), and shift the tensioner 

until  you  eliminate  the  excess  clearance. 

Retighten the bolts (C).

5. 

Replace the cover (A).

A  chain  with  excess  clearance  (loose)  might  get 

detached from the gears, getting damaged and also 

causing damage to the machine.

When it is overstretched, this might compromise 

the  axis,  bearing  housings  due  to  premature 

exhaustion.
