Couple the solid shaft (male side) onto the machine
and the tubular one (female side) onto the tractor.
Place the cardan parts side by side (parallel) – as
shown in the picture beside.
In this position, there must be a clearance of at least
30mm on each tip of the cardan.
Before you cut the cardan shaft, you should consider
all the possibilities of using it in its original size. Try
to adjust the tractor’s drawbar. In case there are
any enquiries, always consult your tractor manual.
If there is no possibility of using it in its original size,
proceed with the cut, as follows:
Select in one of the cardan parts the desired position
of the cut (remember to leave a clearance of 30mm).
Remove the cardan from the machine and the
tractor and perform the cut.
Use the first cut piece as a measure to cut the
other tip.
The cardan cut pieces of the male and female must
have the same length. See instructions for the cut
on the leaflet affixed on the cardan.

Turn off the tractor and take the ignition key off the
panel before you couple the cardan shaft.
