See Figure 11. Disconnect the diode from the Red/
Green wire and connect a DC voltmeter as shown.
•
If the meter reads 36 volts, replace the diode.
•
If the meter reads o volts, check the forward and
reverse switch mechanism (see Forward/Reverse
Switch section). If the switches work properly,
replace the electronic interlock.
WHEEL MOTOR REMOVAL

Remove the solution tank (see Solution System for instructions).

See Figure 12. Move the machine so the master link on chain coupler (C) is facing toward the front of the machine.

Disconnect the battery connector (inside the right-rear door).

Remove the master link and the chain from the coupler.

Lift the operator’s seat and disconnect wires #21 & #22 from the motor.
Note: Use a wrench to hold the inner nut on each terminal while loosening the outer nut.

Remove the four Bolts (D) and work the motor out of the machine.
WHEEL MOTOR – CARBON BRUSH INSPECTION
The carbon brushes in the wheel motor should be checked every
1000 hours of operation. To check the carbon brushes, tip the
operator’s seat forward and carefully remove one of the brushes
from the motor. If the brush is worn to a length of 3/8 inch (10 mm)
or less, remove the motor from the machine and replace all the
brushes.
