BATTERY INSTALLATION AND BATTERY TYPE SETTING (WET OR GEL)
Battery installation
Open the cover (22) and check that the recovery tank (21) is empty, otherwise empty it with the drain hose (16).
Grasp the handle (41) and carefully lift the tank (40).
Install the batteries.
Battery type setting
Set the electronic board of the machine according to the type of batteries installed (WET or GEL) as shown below:
Turn the ignition key (80) to “I” and, in the very first seconds of machine operation, detect the current setting by counting the
number of flashes of the warning lights (81a), (81b), (81c), as shown in the following table:

If the setting is to be changed, perform the following procedure.
Turn off the machine by turning the ignition key (80) to “0”.
Press and hold the switches (71) and (73) at the same time, then turn the ignition key (80) to “I”.
Release the switches (71) and (73) at least 8 seconds after starting the machine.
Within 3 seconds, shortly press the switch (73) to go to the next setting (1 to 6 in cyclic sequence).
NOTE
When performing steps 8 and 9, the settings shown in the table are shown also on the flow indicator (82c) (1st LED on
the left ON = setting 1, 2nd LED on the left ON = setting 2, etc.)
NOTE
When using batteries with a capacity lower than 160Ah@5h (in case of doubt, refer to the battery documents), to avoid
battery overheating during charging procedure, use the REDUCED charging current with setting 4, 5 or 6 shown in the
table, according to the type of batteries installed.
Battery charging
Charge the batteries (see the procedure in Maintenance chapter).
