1. DESCRIPTION
The wireless two-channel transmitter is suitable for flush mounting and may only be used to control wireless receivers which operate according to the Easywave
protocol. The transmitter must be powered by 230 V connection. 2 switches or push buttons can be connected.
By using this wireless two-channel transmitter, you can expand the switching functions of existing switches or push buttons via a receiver.
The two-channel transmitter checks whether a switch/push button is live and transmits the corresponding code (A, B, C or D) to the wireless receiver, which in
turn switches the consumer.
The product operates according to the Easywave protocol, a wireless installation technique between the push buttons (control points) and the consumers to
be operated. The system consists of a modular set-up including transmitters and receivers. One transmitter can operate an unlimited number of receivers
simultaneously, while one receiver can be controlled by a maximum of 32 transmitters.
The two-channel transmitter performs a signal transmission via radio waves at the 868.3 MHz
frequency. Only products that do not continuously transmit are permitted at this frequency,
meaning 1% per hour or 36 seconds. As a result, the chance of interference is minimal.
Therefore, this wireless system is excellently suited to specific applications, such as renovations
of listed interiors, extensions of existing electrical installations (where drilling or channelling
is not possible), for use in offices with moveable partitions or walls or in installations where
complicated wiring must be avoided.
2. INSTALLATION
2.1. Mounting
Remember to take into account the local situation and surroundings when mounting the two-channel transmitter.
Ensure that the wireless signal transmission between receiver and two-channel transmitter is not obstructed. Position the receiver as close as possible to the
two-channel transmitter.
The presence of metal or damp in the walls can have a negative influence on the wireless signal range (see § 2.2). Therefore never place the two-channel transmitter:
• in a metal electrical cabinet, housing or netting.
• close to large metal objects.
• on or close to the ground.
The two-channel transmitter is suitable for mounting in almost all standard flush-mounting boxes.
2.2. Range between the transmitters and receivers according to the Easywave protocol
The operation of devices with a remote control, such as a TV or video and audio devices, is not disrupted by a wireless transmitter. The transmitter does not
have to be aimed towards the wireless receiver. The indoor range is ± 30 m. In open spaces the range reaches 100 m. The range of the transmitter depends
on the materials used in the residence. A diagnostic device (05-370) can be used to determine the wireless signal strength in an environment. The appliance
recognises all 868.3 Mhz signals. The nine LEDs on the device will indicate the quality of the signals received or the strength of any interrupting signals. This
allows you to determine whether or not the signal range of the transmitter will meet your needs. The drawings below show the quality loss of the transmission
range depending on the materials used. You can use a wireless repeater according to the Easywave protocol (05-535) in installations with insufficient range.
