Warranty
Newport Corporation warrants this product to be free from defects in
material and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of shipment.
If found to be defective during the warranty period, the product will either
be repaired or replaced at Newport’s option.
To exercise this warranty, write or call your local Newport representative,
or contact Newport headquarters in Irvine, California. You will be given
prompt assistance and return instructions. Send the instrument, transpor-
tation prepaid, to the indicated service facility. Repairs will be made and
the instrument returned, transportation prepaid. Repaired products are
warranted for the balance of the original warranty period, or at least 90
days.
Limitation of the warranty
This warranty does not apply to defects resulting from misuse or alteration
of any product or part.
CAUTION
The warranty does not apply to defects resulting:
• from misuse
– Different use from that intended by NEWPORT.
– Use of a cable different to the one supplied by NEWPORT.
– Use or storage in environmental conditions other than those indi-
cated.
– Poor maintenance of the equipment, in particular, scratches on the
front optic, excessive humidity, shocks to the body.
• from any modification to the product or one of its parts.
This warranty is in lieu of all other warranty, expressed or implied, inclu-
ding any implied commercial warranty or concerning fitness for a particu-
lar use. NEWPORT shall not be liable for any indirect, special or conse-
quential damage.
No part of this manual shall be reproduced or copied without NEWPORT’s
prior, written agreement.
This document is only a User’s Manual and NEWPORT reserves the right to
carry out modifications to the material described herein. Any changes
made will appear in future editions of the manual.
