Specify Decoding Area
If
Specific Area Decoding
is enabled, the scanner only reads barcodes that intersect the predefined
decoding area.
The default decoding area is an area of 40% top, 60% bottom, 40% left and 60% right of the scanner
’s
field of view, as shown in the figure below. In the following example, the white box is the decoding area.
Since Barcode 1 passes through the decoding area, it will be read. Barcode 2 does not pass through the
decoding area, so it will not be read.
You can define the decoding area using the
Top of Decoding Area

and
Right of Decoding Area
barcodes as well as numeric barcode(s) that represent(s)
