This chapter describes the basics of the DP900 DRO.
The DP900 is available with 2, 3 or 4-axes of encoders. The 4th, 'W', axis
can be a Newall Spherosyn/Microsyn (analog) or an RS422 TTL
diferential (digital) depending on the specific unit. You can set the RS422
TTL W-axis to show linear or angular measurement.
Depending on the options that you choose, there may also be extra
connections for a probe and an auxiliary input/output port.
The mains on/off switch is at the rear of the unit, see the diagram on
page 1.
You should always connect the equipotential terminal to the machine
ground to ensure that the displays are stable.
