7. WARNING: HIGH-PRESSURE FLUIDS
To prevent death or serious injury:
• Do not check for leaks with hands while system is operating as high pressure oil leaks can
be dangerous!
• Relieve system pressure before disconnecting hydraulic lines or working on system.
• Make sure all hydraulic
fl
uid connections are tight and all hydraulic hoses and lines are in
good condition before applying pressure to the system.
• Wear protective gloves and safety glasses or goggles when searching for leaks. Use wood
or cardboard instead of hands.
• Do not use hydraulic lines for hand holds or steps.
• Components may be hot.
• Get immediate medical attention if skin is pierced with
fl
uid as gangrene may result.
