Truck Requirements

Before mounting the spreader on a truck, the following major questions must be considered:

1�

Is the CA (Cab to Axle) dimension of the truck correct for the length of the spreader?

The Dimensions and Capacities chart in the operator’s manual will assist in matching spreader to truck�

2�

Is the truck’s GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating) and the GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating)

adequate to carry the fully loaded spreader?

Refer to your New Leader dealer to find the GAWR and GVWR for most trucks, and how to calculate the

weight distribution on each axle and total loaded vehicle weight.
