Preventive Maintenance keeps your equipment in proper working condition. When periodically
performed, maintenance results in a longer life of your equipment and reduces time lost due to
equipment failure.
13.1 Cleaning Procedures
The Scale Interface Box requires no routine maintenance, but should be cleaned
regularly.
Do not use scouring compounds, gritty cloths or solvents such as alcohol, acetone or
carbon tetrachloride. These types of cleansers can damage the Scale Interface Box
and
void the warranty.
Be careful not to spill liquids on or around the Scale Interface Box.
To clean the Controller:
1. Disconnect the
POWER CORD
from the electrical outlet.
2. Use a cloth dampened with mild detergent and water to wipe the exterior of the Scale
Interface Box.
3. Rinse the cloth in clean water and wipe the exterior again.
4. Reconnect the
PLUG-IN TRANSFORMER
to the electrical outlet.
13.2 Battery Replacement
WARNING!
Always disconnect power cord before performing maintenance on
the Scale Interface Box except when replacing the batteries.
Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.
Do not use a cleaning fluid that is corrosive or flammable on or
around the Controller.
CAUTION!
Ensure that the Controller configuration is saved to disk
before attempting to replace the batteries inside the
Controller.
