Filer/FAS appliance
Shut down the filer/FAS
appliance by entering the
following command at the
console:
halt
Caution
Always use the
halt
command
to perform a clean shutdown.
NetCache appliance

From the Appliance
Manager home page, select
Maintenance tab > System
Control > Halt/Reboot.

Select Halt NetCache.

Remove the terminator from
the Output/Terminator
connector.

Use the rail kit installation flyer in the rail kit box to install the
appropriate rail kits on the rack.

Install and secure the disk shelf onto the support brackets and rack.

If you are adding multiple disk shelves on the same loop, repeat
to install the remaining disk shelves in ascending
numerical order, according to the IDs on their labels.
