The following error messages appear on your storage controller console if an
SES element on the power supply fails. For information about replacing the
power supply, see “
Replacing a power supply in a disk shelf ” on page 47.

Element 1: failed
The power supply unit on the left at the back of the
disk shelf failed. Contact Network Appliance
customer service to replace the power supply.
Power supply
Element 2: failed
The power supply unit on the right at the back of the
disk shelf failed. Contact Network Appliance
customer service to replace the power supply.
Cooling element
Element 1: failed
The integrated fan module in the power supply unit
on the left at the back of the disk shelf failed. Contact
Network Appliance customer service to replace the
power supply.
Cooling element
Element 2: failed
The integrated fan module in the power supply unit
on the right at the back of the disk shelf failed.
Contact Network Appliance customer service to
replace the power supply.
