Installing a chassis
fan in the C2100
To install a chassis fan in the C2100 fan block, complete the following steps.

Remove the ATA Flex cable retaining bracket, located on the
backplane.

Unplug the copper-colored ATA Flex cable from the backplane. This
cable is just to the left of the fan block.

Lift up on the retaining clip on the bottom right of the fan block, then
slide the fan block to the right and lift it out of the chassis.

Press down on the latch below the failed fan, and swing the fan out of
the fan block.

Insert the fan into the open slot in the fan block, pushing the fan from
the bottom so it snaps into place.
Note
Ensure that the fan is inserted into the fan block so that the airflow
direction is consistent with the remaining fans’ airflow direction.

Reseat the fan block in the chassis, making sure to align the fan block
bottom slots with the hooks on the chassis bottom.

Slide the fan block to the left, until the retaining clip seats and locks
the fan block in place.

Plug the fan power cables back into the motherboard and plug the
copper-colored ATA Flex cable back into the SCSI backplane and
reattach the ATA Flex cable retaining bracket.
