Initial settings of the PC
Use a PC terminal emulator program, f.ex. HyperTerminal.

Start the HyperTerminal.

Enter a name for the terminal, f.ex. "modem_test".

In the "
Phone Number
" window, select
Direct to COM1
(or the
COM port the WorldPhone Liberator is connected to).

In the "
COM1 Properties
" window, set as follows:
•
Bits per second: 9600 bps.
•
Data bits: 8
•
Parity: None
•
Stop bits: 1
•
Flow control: None

In the
File
menu, select
Properties
then click
Settings
and select
Terminal
.

Select
ANSI
in the
Emulation
list box.

In the
View
menu, click
Fonts
. Select
Terminal
in the
Fonts list.
Set the size to 11 points.

Click on
Ok
.
Testing the installation
Entering a command on the PC keyboard (f.ex.
ATç
) should
cause "OK" to be displayed on the screen.
If there is no response, check that the baud rate setting is the same
both for the PC and the WorldPhone.
