Performing Maintenance on the Main Valve Assembly
Removing the Main Valve Assembly
Before you remove the main valve assembly, it is recommended that
you remove the throttle valve assembly. See “Performing Maintenance
on the Throttle Valve Assembly” on page 24.
1 Place a flathead screwdriver underneath the notch in the snap ring.

2 Turn the screwdriver 1/4 turn to dislodge the snap ring from the
groove in the maincase. See Figure 45.

3 Use your hand or the screwdriver to walk around the snap and then
remove the snap ring from the meter. See Figure 46.

Keep the main valve snap ring for later use.
