1-4 Getting Started
NEC Storage S1300
Follow the procedure below to connect your NEC Storage S1300:
n
Connect the disk array unit to the host system using a Fibre
Channel (FC) cable. Connect the FC cable to the FC
connector located on the primary controller (on the right of
the unit).

Connect the Ethernet cable to the LAN connector.
n
Install 2 power cords between the input receptacles on the
power supply cages and AC wall outlets.
The figure below shows an NEC Storage S1300 configured with the
optional redundant controller seating on the left. In this case, 2 Fibre
Channel cables must be used to connect the NEC Storage S1300.
