group.
•

to
use

or
Automatic
Route
Selection
(ARS).
The
method
you
use
depends
on
how
your
UX5000
and
your
terminal
are
set
up.
For
example,
if
you
should
use
only
ARS
for
outgoing
calls,
don't
press
line
keys
or
dial
up
lines
and
line
groups.
On
the
other
hand,
if
your
office
is
set
up
like
a
"key
system",
you
and
your
co-workers
will
have
line
keys
for
the
same
outside
lines.
Your
Communications
Manager
can
tell
you
which
methods
you
should
use
for
placing
out-
side
calls.
To place an outside call using a line key:
1.

.
You
may
have
to
press

or
lift

pressing
the

With
the

terminals,
the
Line/Loop

on
one
of
four
display
pages.
To
display
the
page
with
the
ringing
line/loop,

the
Scroll
key
on
the
DESI-Less
touch
screen
to
change
pages
(however,
in
most
cases,
you
can
simply
lift
the
handset
to
answer
the
call).
(Refer
to
the
picture
on
page
170
for
