Printer Monitor Messages
The Printer Monitor Status tab displays messages about
printer operational status and the progress of a print job.
The following tables list the messages that can appear.

Message Condition Correction (if error message)
Initializing While turning the printer on, it begins an auto-
diagnosis and cleans the print cartridge
nozzles. During this stage, communication
with the computer is suspended. The message “printer is idle” is shown
once this operation is completed.
Print Cartridge Initialization Every time you replace the Print Cartridge you
have to wait for the end of the initialization
cycle. The message “printer is idle” is shown
once this operation is completed.
Printer is Idle No print job sent; Printer is in ready mode.
Printing A print job is currently under way.
Print is Aborting Occurs when the Abort button in the Status
tab is clicked.
Print is Paused Occurs when the pause button in the Status
tab is clicked (and momentarily becomes a
Resume button). Pressing the Resume button will enable
printing to continue.
