File Device
The server has two slots on which backup devices including CD-RW, DVD-ROM and
magnetic tape drives are installed (the normally equipped CD-ROM drive occupies
another slot).
Install devices in the 5.25-inch device bay (A), also called standard cage, below the
CD-ROM drive (B).
The device bay (standard cage) is integrated to be a single chassis (the integrated
chassis is called the file bay).
Notes:

If a SCSI device is installed, the optional SCSI controller
board and built-in SCSI cable are required. See “Cabling the
Devices” on page 42
■
To install an IDE device, refer to table “IDE Device Configu-
ration” on page 5.
