Chapter 2 Preparations
(3) 3.5-inch fixed type HDD cage
The server can contain one 3.5-inch fixed type HDD cage.
Install a 3.5-inch fixed type HDD cage in the following procedure.
1.
Refer to steps 1 to 7 in
Chapter 2 (1.3 Overview of Installation and Removal)
for preparations.
2.
Install a tray rails provided with 3.5-inch fixed type HDD cage by using four screws provided with the
cage.
3.
Install hard disk drives in 3.5-inch fixed tray, and secure the tray with four screws.
4.
Install 3.5-inch fixed tray to the server chassis, and secure it with two screws. Refer to
Chapter 2

Install 3.5-inch fixed tray with hard disk drive in cage starting from bottom bay.
Repeat Steps 3 and 4 for installing other hard disk drives.
For the tray with no hard disk drive mounted, install it in the cage.
Attach one blank cover provided with the cage to the bay using two screws.
5.
Connect SAS/SATA cable (option) and power cable.
