Chapter 2 Preparations

Removing Top Cover
You need to remove top cover when installing or removing the following component:
Optical disk drive,
LAN riser card,
DIMM,
processor,
TPM module,
Internal Flash Memory,
Additional HDD cage,
PCI card,
RAID Controller,
Battery for RAID Controller

Chapter 2 (1.3 Overview of Installation and Removal)
for preparations.
2.
Slide Top Cover (front) toward the front of the server while pressing Release Button on the cover.
Remove screws from the top cover (front) and the top cover (rear).
3.
Lift off the top cover (front) from the server.
4.
Loosen the thumb nut on rear panel of the server, and slide the top cover (rear) toward the rear of the
server.
5.
Lift off the top cover (rear), and remove it from the server.
