1. Installing Internal Optional Devices

Express5800/GT110d-S User’s Guide

Chapter 2 Preparations

Bend the cable so as not to buffer other PCI cards, and connect to the COM connector used for
internal connections in the motherboard.
Refer to the following for the position of the COM connector for internal connections.

Important

•

If connecting the cable, fit it to the polarizing key of the connector and be careful
not to connect it improperly.

•

The N8117-01A expansion RS-232C connector kit contains two types of cables.
This server uses the RS-232C cable (B).

Make sure that no removed slot covers, tools, screws, or other similar objects remain inside, and
assemble.
