
7-6 Maintenance
Relocating/Storing Blade Enclosure with Devices Installed
1.
Turn off the powers of all the CPU blades and Tape Blade in Blade Enclosure.
2.
Turn off the power of Blade Enclosure.
3.
Unplug the power cord of Blade Enclosure from the power receptacle.
4.
Remove all the cables from CPU blades, Tape Blade, and other devices.
5.
Take out the Blade Enclosure from the rack with four or more persons.
6.
Hold the handles and carry the Blade Enclosure with four or more persons
7.
Protect the Blade Enclosure with the shock-absorbing materials, and pack it securely.
Relocating/Storing a Device in Blade Enclosure
Remove the device from Blade Enclosure according to Chapters 3 and 9. Protect the device with the
shock-absorbing materials, and pack it securely.
IMPORTANT:
The Tape Blade or internal option device may be
dewed if it is brought to a warm place from a cold place suddenly.
Using a Tape Blade or an internal device with dew attached may cause
malfunction or failure.
Make sure to adapt them to the operating environment before using
them.
