System Configuration 4-65
IPMI information
System event logs (SEL), sensor data record (SDR), or field replacement unit (FRU) can be
displayed. Such information is referred to as the IPMI information. The information is used to
examine errors and events on the server and identify which part should be replaced.
System Event Log (SEL)
When you click the icon to start up system event logs [
] on the control panel, SEL information
is collected from the BMC and shown on the system event log (SEL) window as shown below.
The upper pane shows a list of system event logs while the lower pane shows details of the entry
selected in the list.
By clicking the reloading icon [
], you can reload the SEL information from the BMC and display
the latest information.
Clearing the SEL information
Do not use this function, as the system executes the automatic SEL clear.
