4.5.6 Initial diagnosis of adapter (Recommended)
It is recommended to do initial diagnosis for your adapter by Intel
®
PROSet after you installed
Intel
®
PROSet (how to start the diagnosis is all the same no matter how you installed it).
Before you start the initial diagnosis, make sure that the
adapter and link partner (such as switching hub) are
connected with a cable. If not, or if the link partner is
powered off, test result will be “failed.”
1.
Double-click [ I ntel
®
PROSet] icon in [Control Panel] window. [Intel
®
PROSet] dialog box
is displayed.
2.
Click [Diagnostics] tab.
3.
Click [Run Tests] .
4.
You see a message. Click [Yes] .
The diagnostics test will start.
5.
If “ Pass/Fail ” field is “1 ／ 0” on the right of the test items, the adapter is normal.
If “ Pass/Fail ” reads “0/1”, go to Chapter 6 “Troubleshooting” on page 73to check again.
If “ Pass/Fail ” reads “0/1” again even after rechecking, contact your sales agent.
