4.5.1 How to update the onboard LAN driver and remove Intel
®
PROSet
Before you attach this product, confirm the network driver’s version for the onboard LAN.
Update the driver if necessary. Remove Intel
®
PROSet if installed.
How to confirm the onboard LAN driver version:
1.
Open [Local Area Connection Properties].
♦
Standard [Start] menu:
Select [Control Panel] from Start menu.
[Control Panel] is displayed. Click [Network Connections] , then, [Local Area
Connection] .

Classic [Start] menu:
Select [Settings]
→
[Network Connections] from Start menu.
Right-click [Local Area Connection] icon. Select [Properties] from the shortcut
menu.

Click [Configure] button. [Network Adapter’s Properties] is displayed.

Select [Properties]
.
[Local Area Connection Properties]
dialog box is displayed.
4.
Select [Driver] tab and confirm the version.
If the version is the same as the followings or newer, you do not need to update the
driver. Go to “How to remove Intel
®

How to update the onboard LAN driver:
1.
Insert the driver CD that comes with this product into the CD-ROM drive which the
CPU blade is connected with.
2.
Start the command prompt on the CPU blade screen.
