Connecting the solar panel in a system
All solar panels can be combined with other components (e.g. battery charger) to form a solar energy system.
Observe the following instructions when connecting the solar panel in a system:
• Observe the recommended cable cross-sections and fuses.
• Observe the specified sequence when connecting and disconnecting to avoid damage to the batteries.
• Connect several solar panels only in parallel and up to the rated power of the solar charge controller used.
• In the case of two or more batteries, parallel connection is permissible if the batteries are of the same type, ca-
pacity and age. Connect the batteries diagonally.
• Also observe the instructions and safety precautions for all other components used in the system.
Sequence when connecting:
1.
Connect the solar charge controller to the batteries.
2. Connect the solar panel to the solar charge controller.
3. Connect the battery charger.
4. Connect the display and additional consumers (optional).
Sequence when disconnecting:
1.
Disconnect the display and additional consumers.
2. Disonnect the battery charger.
3. Disconnect the solar panel from the solar charge controller.
4. Disconnect the solar charge controller from the batteries.
