UPDATING THE SAFTWARE FOR THE M35 NAVIG8R

The About screen shows Copyright information about the
software and all data used in the M35 Navig8r GPS
system.
Tap the “Back” button to return to the “Options” menu.
Updating the Software for the M35 Navig8r
From time to time it may be necessary to update the software for the Laser M35
Navig8r.
Software for updating the Laser M35 Navig8r will be available on the website
HTTP:WWW.NAVIG8R.COM.AU/M35. The software can reside on the desktop of your
PC and launched as required.
To complete the updates you must have the following.
A: An active internet connection
B: For XP and Windows 2000 users, Active Sync must be installed on you computer.
C: For Windows Vista users, Windows Mobile Device Centre must be installed.

Connecting the GPS to the computer
in the first part of the
manual for instruction for connecting the M35 to your computer.
Before attempting the update you should exit the Navigation program and return to
the Main System Menu.
The update can also be completed by removing the SD card from the M35 and
placing into an SD card reader on your computer if one is available.
Please refer to the instructions provided on the M35 Navig8r website for
downloading, installing and using the updating software.
WARNING:
DO NOT DISCONECT THE GPS OR REMOVE THE CARD FROM THE READER
DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS AS THIS MAY CORRUPT FILES AND RENDER THE M35
INOPERABLE.
The software provided with the M35 is coded to the specific unit that you have.
While it is possible to make a backup copy of the software to your PC or transfer it to
a larger SD card, the software will not work on other M35 units or other GPS devices.
If the software is used on other devices it will be locked down to prevent further use.
This is not covered by warranty and a new SD card must be purchased.
